Polar Bears
So much has happened since my birthday when Mom last helped me write. I have grown up so much. Grandma and Grandpa are amazed at how much I talk. I was talking a lot at home before that, but I got more shy around other people. I love to talk. I like to point at things in my books and say "what's that?" and then tell Mom what it is. I know all sorts of words. I like to talk to Mom when she is driving the car. I point out all of the motorcycles to her. I love motorcycles. Whenever I hear a plane, or a train, or a fire truck, or a motorcycle, I tell Mom what the sound is.
A little while after my birthday, Mom and I were walking down the stairs and my leg go really hurt. It's all better now, but my favorite thing about that was that the day the doctor took my caste off, she got me a motorcycle of my own. I love going outside to play on my motorcycle. We go to the playground and play with the other kids. Sometimes we take bread or crackers to the ducks and Mom lets me drive my motorcycle. Right now, though, Mom frequently tells me it's too hot to go outside. The slides at the playground get really hot and I can't sit on them. We play outside in the morning a lot instead.
Tuesday we went to the zoo. I have learned so many animals and it was fun to see them all and to make their sounds. We saw monkeys and elephants and all sorts of things. My favorite animals was the polar bear. He was swimming in the water a lot and he could come right up in front of me and then dive backwards into the water and keep swimming. I have a polar bear toy at home which I didn't like very much before I saw a real polar bear. Now I like to take my polar bear toy with me wherever I go.
I now get to wear underpants thunderpants every day. I really like them. My favorite ones have Hulk or Wolverine on footballs on them. Sometimes Mom puts me in plain white or blue ones. I don't like them as much, but they are still way better than diapers. I can go potty all by myself. I like to tell Mom when the pee or poops are going swimming. Sometimes I need help pulling my pants back up, but I can do everything else all by myself. I even wash my hands every time I go potty. I really like soap.
It's so light outside at night when Mom and Dad try to put me to bed. I have trouble falling asleep, so I look out the window and I talk to my polar bear. Sometimes Mom comes in and gets mad at me for being awake, but I ask her to sing me a song and then I usually go to bed. I like it when Mom sings me songs at bedtime.

Two Years Old!!!
When someone asks me how old I am, I now say "2". I have been practicing this with Mom for a week, so now that it's my birthday I can tell people. I would love to put some pictures or videos of me playing basketball or singing songs or playing in the bathtub or something, but Mom is a slacker and won't put them up. I will talk to her about it. Now that I am two, people need to see how handsome and grown up I am.
Mom and I have been so sick this week. When I am sick I like to take medicine. Now that it's my birthday, I am feeling better, though. I wanted to take some medicine, but Mom wouldn't let me.
We got to take cupcakes to daycare yesterday and my friends all sang happy birthday and we all ate cupcakes. I really like cupcakes. Mom says I get to eat another cupcake today when it is my party. Tonight a few of my cousins and my grandpas and grandmas are coming over. We are going to play with balloons and dance to all my favorite songs. We also get to color pictures.
I love my family. Every day when my dad comes home, I run to the door and "DAD" and give him a big hug. I give toys to Sage so she can play with them and I say "sorry" and give her a big hug when I accidentally hurt her. I love to snuggle with Mom and I always give her a big hug when she has to go to work in the morning. My favorite time of the day is when we all sit on the couch at night and Mom and Dad take turns reading stories to me. Then I say good night to everybody. (I even say good night to the doggies. Mom thinks I am silly because we don't have any doggies.) My other favorite time is when Mom or Dad shoot basketballs with me. I find all the balls. I keep my favorite ball and give the rest of the balls to Mom or Dad. I make sure they never run out of balls to throw.
One day when I wanted to go outside to play, Mom said I needed to get my coat. I brought Mom all my jackets and coats I could find and we put them all on. (We even had to put one on backwards to get it to fit.) Sometimes I like to be silly:

I can...
I can do all sorts of things.
Sometimes when I want something and Mom won't let me have it I get really mad. I stomp my feet on the group and yell. I used to lay on the floor and scream, but that didn't get me what I wanted, so I started doing this instead. I'll have to see if it works.
This picture was taken before I got my hair cut. Mom says I need another hair cut again.
My pants used to fall down all the time. I would get frustrated when I was walking. Mom made me two belts that help hold my pants up. It's pretty awesome.
- I have been able to open doors for a while, unless Mom put one of the funny white things on the door. I hate that.
- I can say my name - I point to myself in the mirror or in a picture and say "Gen". I also point to Mom, Dad, Baby, Mama (grandma), and Gmpa (grandpa) and say their names, also. I really like to look at picturs of myself and people I know. When we get to daycare, I call her "Na-Nee"
- I can get into the car when Mom pushes the button and the door opens.
- I can open the fridge and pantry to look for a snack or drink when I am hungry.
- I am really good at helping Mom do laundry. She will hand me clothes, lift me up and I put them in the washer. Also, when she is folding clothes I take them out of the laundry basket and give them to Mom.
- I can throw the ball really good, and sometimes I even catch it.
- I can get my favorite books off of the shelf and take them to Mom to read to me. I can also turn pages. My favorite books are the ones with the animals (Mom and I make funny animal sounds), and my book about Man (Mom calls him Spider Man).
- I can blow bubbles if Mom gives me the right blower for bubbles.
- I can play guitar with Daddy. Mostly I just dance when he plays guitar, though.

More videos
I am such a good big brother. I always know when my sister needs hugs and kisses, like when she is sleeping or when Mom is feeding her. Sometimes I even hold her. I sit on the couch and tell Mom that I want to hold my sister. Mom puts her on my lap and I hug her. When I am done, I get up and leave sister there for Mom to pick up.
I can do all sorts of things. For example, check out my new dance moves and me playing in one of my favorite toys:
I also am an expert at opening all kinds of doors, doing laundry with Mom, and shooting basket balls.
I now get to go play with other kids most days while Mom is at work. We sing songs, read books, eat lunch, and take naps. Then Mom comes and picks me up.
Dad is gone a lot of the time now and I really miss playing with him. Sometimes I have trouble sleeping unless I get some time to play with Dad and he reads me some stories before bed. I sure love my dad.

Growing Up
I am becoming all grown up. I have a little sister now. I call her "baby" or sometimes "Sase". I am really good at giving her hugs and kisses. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is ask Mom where baby is. I just know that she likes the same things I do. I try to give her a ball or one of my crackers or some water from my cup, but Mom always stops me. I don't think Mom knows what baby likes as much as me.
I am also getting really good at eating all by myself. I can use a spoon to eat mashed potatoes, yogurt, cottage cheese, oatmeal and pudding really well. Sometimes I try to grab Mom's fork to help me eat other things like hot dogs, too. When I drop something, I just pick it up and put it back on my spoon or eat it right out of my fingers. I am also really good with a cup, even if has no straw or lid. Mom only lets me drink from a cup when I am in the kitchen, though.
Sometimes I like to climb. When we go to the playground, I like to climb the ladders. We don't have ladders at home, so I have to find other things to climb. When I woke up one morning and Mom wasn't home, I decided to practice climbing in my room. I pulled the drawers open in my dresser and climbed on those. Then a scary thing happened - my dresser tipped over. I called out for help and Daddy came and rescued me. I haven't tried to do that again since. It sure was scary.

Grandparents Houses
I love going to both my grandparents' houses. At one house, there is this really awesome tractor. Grandpa says that it's Grandma's, but I know that he really built for me. I always find it and climb in and drive it, and I never see Grandma drive it. The wheel turns and it rocks. It's so cool. I also climb up the ladder to go down the slide, and I swing on the swing at Grandpa's house.

I am so good at helping Mom around the house. When she gives me things to put in the trash, I know exactly where they go. Sometimes she gives me other things to put in the sink and I know where those ones go, too. I also like to help her put the laundry in the washer, but I can't reach it very well and Mom sometimes has to help me. I am also really good at telling Mom when I need things. When I have a poopy bum, I go to Mom, point to my diaper and say "tash". Then she knows she needs to change my bum and she lets me put the poopy diaper in the trash. That's my favorite part. When I need other things, I grab Mom's finger and try to pull her to what I need. Sometimes I need juice out of the fridge or to go outside to play. I tell her when I want some food by making the sign for food. When she tells me to get my shoes so we can go outside I know right where my shoes are and I pick them up and bring them to Mom. I am really good at talking with Mom right now.
Mom, Dad, and I go on a walk every day. Mom is really slow to walk with right now, though. I don't know why. I just like to go outside so much. On really fun days Mom takes me outside with my little blue car and rides the car with me. It's hard to fit on the car with Mom, because she has a really big tummy right now, but she drives the car outside better than I do. I like to ride the car in the house, too, when Mom doesn't ride it outside with me.
I now sleep in a different room, but it's okay. I can still look out the window when I want to. I just stand up on my bed when I want to look out.
