Polar Bears

So much has happened since my birthday when Mom last helped me write.  I have grown up so much.  Grandma and Grandpa are amazed at how much I talk.  I was talking a lot at home before that, but I got more shy around other people.  I love to talk.  I like to point at things in my books and say "what's that?" and then tell Mom what it is.  I know all sorts of words.  I like to talk to Mom when she is driving the car.  I point out all of the motorcycles to her.  I love motorcycles.  Whenever I hear a plane, or a train, or a fire truck, or a motorcycle, I tell Mom what the sound is.

A little while after my birthday, Mom and I were walking down the stairs and my leg go really hurt.  It's all better now, but my favorite thing about that was that the day the doctor took my caste off, she got me a motorcycle of my own.  I love going outside to play on my motorcycle.  We go to the playground and play with the other kids.  Sometimes we take bread or crackers to the ducks and Mom lets me drive my motorcycle.  Right now, though, Mom frequently tells me it's too hot to go outside.  The slides at the playground get really hot and I can't sit on them.  We play outside in the morning a lot instead.

Tuesday we went to the zoo.  I have learned so many animals and it was fun to see them all and to make their sounds.  We saw monkeys and elephants and all sorts of things.  My favorite animals was the polar bear.  He was swimming in the water a lot and he could come right up in front of me and then dive backwards into the water and keep swimming.  I have a polar bear toy at home which I didn't like very much before I saw a real polar bear.  Now I like to take my polar bear toy with me wherever I go.

I now get to wear underpants thunderpants every day.  I really like them.  My favorite ones have Hulk or Wolverine on footballs on them.  Sometimes Mom puts me in plain white or blue ones.  I don't like them as much, but they are still way better than diapers.  I can go potty all by myself.  I like to tell Mom when the pee or poops are going swimming.  Sometimes I need help pulling my pants back up, but I can do everything else all  by myself.  I even wash my hands every time I go potty.  I really like soap.

It's so light outside at night when Mom and Dad try to put me to bed.  I have trouble falling asleep, so I look out the window and I talk to my polar bear.  Sometimes Mom comes in and gets mad at me for being awake, but I ask her to sing me a song and then I usually go to bed.  I like it when Mom sings me songs at bedtime.
